How to Use This Graphics Card Ranking

This GPU comparison table ranks every current graphics card by benchmark score, price-to-performance ratio, and live pricing, updated daily from retailer stock. Use it as a GPU comparison chart: sort any column to re-rank by raw score, VRAM, TDP, or price, add a synthetic benchmark column (PassMark, Geekbench, Steel Nomad, Fire Strike, or Blender) to rank by productivity performance, then narrow the field with the filter panel on the left.

The filter panel covers brand (Nvidia, AMD, Intel Arc), price range, minimum VRAM, target resolution, upscaling technology, cooling type, card length, power connector type, and maximum TDP. Selecting any filter immediately reruns the graphics card comparison in the table: only models that match your build constraints are shown. Click any GPU name to open its full spec sheet with benchmark scores at 1080p, 1440p, and 4K, every available board version with current prices, and Blender productivity scores.

How Benchmark Scores Are Calculated

Scores are a geometric mean of in-game frame rates across a standardized game suite, normalized so the RTX 5090 = 100. This makes GPU benchmark comparison across Nvidia, AMD, and Intel Arc straightforward: scores are directly proportional with no per-brand scaling applied.

Sorting by Perf/$ gives you the GPU tier list ranked by value at your target resolution. The GPU performance-per-dollar chart visualizes these rankings as an interactive bar chart.

Choosing by Budget and VRAM

The price range slider filters to cards with a current in-stock price inside your budget. For finding the best graphics card for the money, set your price window then sort by Perf/$. The value leaders float to the top automatically.

Nvidia vs AMD vs Intel Arc: Where Each Brand Leads

Value leadership in the GPU hierarchy shifts by price tier. Intel Arc leads the sub-$350 tier on VRAM per dollar: the B580 ships with 12GB where competitors charge the same for 8GB. AMD leads the $400–$700 mid-range on rasterization value, with the RX 9070 XT competing against Nvidia cards priced significantly higher. Nvidia holds the benchmark ceiling and adds the strongest feature ecosystem: DLSS 4, NVENC for streaming, and the fastest GPU render times in Blender.

For power-constrained builds, the GPU performance-per-watt chart ranks the same GPUs by efficiency, useful for SFF builds, high-electricity-cost regions, or silent build targets where TDP is a hard constraint.

Physical Filters: Length and TDP

The Physical filter group covers constraints that determine whether a card fits your case and PSU. Max Card Length filters out cards longer than your case's GPU clearance. Every GPU Spec, Explained

A graphics card is the single biggest lever on gaming frame rates, and also the easiest part to overpay for. Below is what each filter and column in the table actually measures, how much it matters for a gaming build, and a short steer on where to spend and where to save.

Score and target resolution

The Score column is a single number for gaming performance, normalised so the fastest card on the market sits at 100. A card scoring 50 delivers roughly half the frame rate of that reference. Scores are recorded separately at 1080p, 1440p and 4K because the gap between cards widens as resolution climbs: a budget card that keeps pace at 1080p can fall well behind at 4K. Importance: high. Set the resolution switch to the monitor you actually own before you compare anything, because it re-ranks the entire table.

Perf/$ (performance per dollar)

Benchmark score divided by the current cheapest in-stock price, times 100. It answers “how much frame rate am I buying per dollar,” which is a different question from “which card is fastest.” Importance: high if you have a fixed budget. Because it uses live prices, a card’s value rank shifts when a rival cuts price even though no benchmark changed. Sort by Perf/$ to find the value leaders, then check the raw Score to confirm the winner is still fast enough for your target resolution. Flagship cards always look poor here: you pay a steep premium for the last 15% of performance.

VRAM capacity

Video memory holds textures and frame data. Run out and performance collapses, because the card starts borrowing slower system memory. Importance: high, and rising every year. 8GB still handles 1080p in most current titles but shows its limits with high-resolution textures. 12GB is the sensible floor for a 1440p build meant to last. 16GB or more is what you want for 4K with textures turned up. Advice: at the same price, take the card with more VRAM unless the faster card is clearly ahead at your resolution.

Memory type (GDDR6, GDDR6X, GDDR7)

The memory standard, which together with bus width sets bandwidth. GDDR7 is current on the newest cards, GDDR6X sat on high-end previous-generation Nvidia, and GDDR6 covers most everything else. Importance: low as a shopping filter. Bandwidth already shows up in the benchmark score, so you don’t need to reason about it separately. Use this filter only if you specifically want a newer-generation card.

TDP and power connectors

TDP is the card’s rated power draw in watts, and the connector type is how it gets that power: 8-pin on most mainstream and AMD cards, 12-pin on RTX 30-series, and 16-pin (12VHPWR) on high-end RTX 40 and 50 cards. Importance: high if you are reusing a power supply. A rough sizing rule is card TDP plus around 150W for the rest of a typical gaming system, then round up to the next common PSU wattage. Advice: if your PSU only has native 8-pin cables, filter to 8-pin and skip the adapter question entirely.

Card length, slot width and cooling

Physical fit, and the most common reason a build stalls after the parts arrive. Length is measured in millimetres and must clear your case’s stated GPU limit. Slot width tells you how many expansion slots the cooler occupies, which matters in small cases. Cooling is air or liquid. Importance: high in compact builds, low in a full tower. Advice: check your case’s maximum GPU length first, subtract 10–15mm for cable bend, then set the length filter and forget about it.

Upscaling and frame generation

Upscaling renders at a lower resolution and reconstructs the image, buying frame rate for a small quality cost. Frame generation goes further and inserts whole synthesised frames. Nvidia’s DLSS runs only on RTX cards, with Frame Generation limited to RTX 40 and newer and Multi Frame Generation to RTX 50. AMD’s FSR and Intel’s XeSS are open and run across all three vendors’ hardware, so a GeForce card can use FSR and a Radeon card can use XeSS. Importance: medium. Because the open technologies run almost everywhere, the filters that genuinely separate cards are the DLSS tiers and FSR 4.1. Advice: treat frame generation as a bonus for single-player games, not as a reason to buy a weaker card.

Synthetic benchmarks (PassMark, Geekbench, 3DMark, Blender)

Standardised tests rather than real games. PassMark G3D and 3DMark’s Fire Strike and Steel Nomad are broad graphics tests, Geekbench OpenCL measures compute, and Blender measures GPU rendering throughput. Importance: low for gaming, high for creative work. Advice: gamers should rank by the gaming Score. If you render, encode or run compute workloads, set a minimum on Blender or Geekbench OpenCL instead, because a card’s gaming rank and its rendering rank can differ sharply.

AV1 encode

Hardware encoding for the AV1 codec, used by streaming and recording software. All current-generation cards from all three vendors support it; older cards mostly don’t. Importance: high if you stream or record, otherwise none. Advice: turn this filter on only if you actually capture video.

Video outputs

Which display connectors the card carries, typically a mix of DisplayPort and HDMI. Importance: low, with one exception. Check it if you drive several monitors, or if a display only accepts one connector type. Advice: count the monitors you plan to run and confirm the card has that many outputs before ordering.

Brand: Nvidia, AMD and Intel Arc

Nvidia leads on ray tracing and has the most mature upscaling stack. AMD tends to offer more raw rasterisation and more VRAM per dollar in the mid-range. Intel Arc competes hardest at the budget end, often with more VRAM than similarly priced rivals. Importance: medium. Advice: pick on price and performance at your resolution first. Choose Nvidia specifically if ray tracing or CUDA-based creative software matters to you.

Board partner, factory OC and colour

The same GPU is sold by several partners such as ASUS, MSI and Gigabyte, with different coolers, clock speeds and finishes. A factory-overclocked card ships slightly above reference clocks. Importance: low. Factory overclocks typically buy low single-digit percentage gains, well under the price gap between models. Advice: buy the cheapest version of the GPU you want unless you need a specific size or a quieter cooler.

Retailer and price

Prices refresh daily from live retailer stock, and the “From” column shows the cheapest in-stock listing we track across Amazon, Newegg and B&H. Importance: high. GPU pricing moves week to week, so a card that looked poor value last month may lead its bracket today. Advice: use the retailer filter if you have store credit or a preferred returns policy, and treat every price here as a snapshot to confirm before you buy.
